Well it is no surprise that June 2013 will go down as either the #7 or #8 wettest Junes ever. There are still some showers moving in this evening but right now we are sitting at 7.90”, which would make it the eighth wettest June.

Pattern Change Coming Up

While it was nice to see the sunshine on Saturday, it was short lived as rain returned by mid morning on Sunday. Officially, we received another 0.41” of rain on Sunday, bringing the June total to 4.22”. This is still 3” shy of cracking the top ten wettest Junes ever. The wettest June ever was in 1972, where over 10” of rain fell, most of that from Hurricane Agnes.

Just a few days into June and we already have our first Tropical Storm.  Tropical Storm Andrea made landfall Thursday afternoon along the Big Bend of Florida and is already along the coast of the Carolinas this morning.
