It has been 291 days since we last reached the 90°+ mark in Central NY. The mercury rose to 93° on September 11, 2013. We got close today with a high of 87°, which makes today the warmest day of 2014 so far.

World Cup Weather

While the USA isn't a big soccer (football) country, it is great to see countries all around the globe compete in the most popular sport in the world. The host country, Brazil, now holds the record for being the largest country (5th largest in the world) to have the World Cup. Not only does that mean a lot of travel woes (the US team will cover 9,000 miles for 3 games) but also means variable weather.
