Closing Out a Wet July

With the way July has shaped out, we knew we couldn’t get away with a fully dry weekend.  We added an additional 0.67” to the 0.80” of rain that fell last night to bring the July total to 6.94”. This is doesn’t even break the top ten wettest Julys ever. How did Griffiss stack up among the area?

We finally saw a break in the heat and humidity this weekend with highs near 80 degrees and the dew point in the upper 50s/low 60s. It actually felt a little “cool” outside this morning with lows in the low 60s. If the month of July ended yesterday, it would have been the warmest on record.
